Surrey, BC - Sutton Premier Realty recently hosted their second annual Comedy Night Fundraiser generating $2,100 to assist local children and families through charitable projects including food and toy hampers for the Surrey Christmas Bureau, Superstore gift cards for select students at Harold Bishop Elementary, and the team's own "Bring on the Balls" campaign to encourage donations of sports balls for teenagers, who are often overlooked during holiday gift giving.

The Comedy Night took place on Sunday, May 6 at Lafflines in New Westminster.  Approximately 90 people enjoyed the show for a good cause.

"Great evening with lots of laughter and smiled all around!"  says Broker Larry Anderson.  "Sutton Premier would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our event."

Each Comedy Night runs approximately one and a half hours and always features at least one seasoned comedian.  Volunteers from Sutton Premier Realty handle ticket sales, greet guests and sell lottery tickets to raise extra money.  This time it was Realtor Neru Johal, who wore the festive"lottery hat" to sell tickets.

The team expects to host this show again next spring.  Organizers have found the Comedy Night is an ideal way to give twice: many sales associates buy tickets as client appreciation gifts, which simultaneously support local families who are struggling to make ends meet.

Over the past several years, Sutton Premier Realty has raised more than $37,000 to provide much needed food, toys and other gifts to families who have registered with the Surrey Christmas Bureau.  In December 2017, this office delivered $4,800 worth of holiday joy to 13 families including 24 children.
